Laura McClung Adams was first bitten with the real estate bug when she and her husband began searching for their first home soon after moving to the District. Following the purchase of their home—an 1882 Queen Anne Victorian row house in Dupont Circle—Laura continued to (obsessively) review real estate listings daily and attend open houses on weekends. After several years of this, Laura decided to transition into a career in real estate, teaming up with her broker, Judy Cranford, at Cranford & Associates, Inc., a Washingtonian Magazine Top Agent.
Before she became a real estate agent, Laura worked in higher education at some of the nation's top universities, including Vanderbilt and Georgetown. At Georgetown, Laura was a senior member of the admissions and outreach team, where she honed her skills in communications, marketing and client service, that now serve her well as a real estate agent.
Licensed in D.C., Laura represents both buyers and sellers across the city and has closed transactions in some of the District's hottest neighborhoods, such as Dupont Circle, Kalorama, Capitol Hill, Columbia Heights, Friendship Heights, West End and the H Street Corridor. Laura is a tenacious, unflappable advocate for clients in D.C.’s ultra-competitive real estate market. Laura’s clients laud her “unflagging patience and perseverance” and her ability to skillfully and calmly handle challenging negotiations.
When Laura is not working, she can be found tending her front garden, walking her two rescue dogs, Darby and Finny, around the Dupont Circle neighborhood, or grabbing dinner or a glass of wine with her husband, Ike, and friends.
